This is an 18+ event. Please bring in-date photo ID with you - No ID, no entry. Passport/driving license only accepted for entrance and the sale of alcohol. Unfortunately Citizenship, PASS and student cards are not accepted as valid ID. 

The tenth City of Ale 2020 launches in style at the Waterfront with a festival of champions as we bring together over 50 award-winning ales and craft beers – on cask and keg to celebrate the breweries of Norfolk and Suffolk.

With dozens of local ales to try and specially brewed guest keg beers and some surprise beers from Belgium arriving by boat direct to the riverside keg bar! In collaboration with Moon Gazer ales at Norfolk Brewhouse, Hoften Dormaal brewery have created some celebration beers.

Norfolk & Norwich CAMRA are manning the gravity bar, there's craft beer bar, morris dancers doing dangerous things with sticks, there's a live band and Wood Fired Food Co pizzas!  Stalls and activities.

Join publicans, brewers, CAMRA folk, Norwich City Hosts, City of Ale organisers, beer writers and beer lovers from near and far for a celebration of fine ale in the fine city. Beer there!

Live music with a mix of covers and originals to deliver a floor filing party set.

£10 in advance (£12 on the door) to include three free pints.

Thereafter all City of Ale pints are just £3.

Important Venue Entry Info:

We are following Covid guidelines and will do our upmost to keep our staff, artists and customers safe. We want customers to be able to return week after week without any closures or interruptions to our events and for our staff to feel confident and safe in the workplace. We hope that through our consciousness and care towards our supporters that those feeling anxious about returning to crowded places will have more confidence to do so.

We want to make the experience as easy as we can so will help by offering as many alternatives as possible plus providing links on our website and social media to sites for tests and results as well as offer advice on how to get a covid pass. 

To enter the venue customers will need to provide one of the following:

•             Show proof of a full vaccination – remember second dose must be at least 14 days prior to the event

Or,

•             Natural immunity – based upon a positive PCR test within 180 days of the event and the result on NHS App

Or,

•             A negative lateral flow test, same day as event – results registered www.gov.uk/report-covid19-result
